I am happy to learn that Delhi Labour Welfare Board is bringing out a souvenir on the implementation of Mobile Rescue and Rehabilitation Scheme (MRRS) being run by Delhi Labour Welfare Board, GNCT of Delhi, for the welfare of millions of under privileged and homeless migratory population in Delhi, working in various unorganized sectors and often trapped by unscrupulous labour contractors, scrap dealers, drug pushers, beggary networks, traffickers, pimps and organ traders.

It is appreciable that the Delhi Labour Welfare Board, GNCT of Delhi is concerned about the plight of migrant labourers in Delhi, who are often victimized/exploited/harassed/displaced due to lack of awareness of implementation of the Migration Act as well as the apathy of Police and such other enforcement organizations towards the floating population, whose presence cannot be denied because of sheer number and biotic pressure created by them on city life.
