II. Introduction

This is a 150 Bedded general secondary (district) level hospital. Its main objective is to provide minimum free basic health care services. Standards of services may be influenced by workload & availability of resources at that particular time. Yet it is intended that all users receive courteous & prompt attention.

Drug Distribution:

Most of the medicines prescribed by the doctors are usually available at the Pharmacy Counters Room No.15, free of cost. Medicines are usually given for three days for OPD patients. Senior Citizens, Physically handicapped, freedom fighters and beneficiaries of Delhi Government Employees Health Scheme are given priority.

There are total four wards with 25 beds in each ward

There is separate casualty ward with 16 observation beds in casualty block on ground floor. Nursery, antenatal & postnatal wards are having 6 beds in each on ground floor. Food as advised by the dietician is provided free of cost to indoor patients only. There is no charge for indoor patients


Emergency Services

Casualty & emergency services are available in all specialities 24 hrs in the casualty & Maternity block.
" Causality Medical Officer along with Jr. and Sr. Residents in all specialities are available round the clock.
" Specialist doctors are available on call.
" Emergency operations theatre is functional round the clock.
" In case of any difficulty contact Casualty Medical officer and if not solved, contact Causality Incharge /DMS /MS.

Operation Facilities

There are five Operation Theatres including emergency OT in the hospital. Three on 2nd and two on 3rd floor. In addition to above there are two minor OT, one is in the casualty block at ground floor and other is in OPD block at 2nd floor.

IV. Frequently Asked Questions:

Q.1. Is there any grievance redressal mechanism ?
Ans. It has been decided that visitors who wish to meet the Medical Superintendent may give their grievances between 2.00 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. in the office every Friday. The M.S. along with the concerned officers would meet people from 2.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. and attend to their grievances. The grievances would as far as possible be redressed across the table & feedback provided to the complainant.
Q.2. Are there any user charges for the services & the medicines provided to the patients ?
Ans. All the services provided to the patients except ultrasound are free. For ultrasound Rs. 50/- are charged for outdoor patients.
Q.3. Who are the beneficiaries of the hospital ?
Ans. The hospital provides services to general public.
Q.4. Are there any special facilities for senior citizens ?
Ans. For senior citizens there is a separate queue at all counters. Also, on Tuesday & Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. all services of the hospital are available to senior citizens only.

8. Renovation of the Pathology lab completed. The renovated Lab inaugurated by Sh. Surender, Honb’le MLA on 29th Oct 2012.

10. Microbiology lab is going to start soon.

13. Out born Nursery started (for babies born outside this hospital)

14. The clinic for the Senior citizen is conducted on Second and Fourth Sunday of every month from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
